15th March 2017: VOMP 0.5.0 released.

24 June: Development environment script switched to being distributed from git. Details and download.
23 May: makedevenv-9 released - changed to download source from new git repository. Details and download.
14 April 2012: makedevenv-8 released with a bug fix for compilation on 64 bit Squeeze. Details and download.
29 December 2011: Development Environment Build Script v7 released. Works for Debian Squeeze.
16 July: Vomp 0.3.1 released. See the forum for details.
12 July 2009: Development Environment Build Script v6 released. Works for Debian Lenny. Details and download.
18 October: Philipp Müller has created QtVomp, a Linux client for Vomp. See below for details and the download.
19 July 2008: Version 0.3.0 released for MVP and Windows, bringing much improved live TV. See the forum for the full change list.
15 November: Vomp For Windows 0.2.7-3 released, fixing a couple of problems found since 0.2.7 was released.
13 November: Vomp For Windows 0.2.7-2 released, fixing a couple of problems found since 0.2.7 was released.
7 November: Version 0.2.7 released. Remember, if you use Vomp For Windows, wait until the Windows client has been released before upgrading. (Or don't use VFW for a while...)

17 December: Finally... 0.1 released! Files released to SourceForge.
14 December: Screen shots page updated for the new EPG, live banner and options screens.
13 December: Dongle 0.0.17 released. EPG!
10 November: Dongle 0.0.16 released. Internationalisation!
29 October: After a slight pause in development, here is dongle 0.0.15 with radio support added.
2 October: Dongle 0.0.14 released. 2 segfaults fixed for if there are multiple VDR servers.
1 October: Dongle 0.0.13 released. RGB/composite switching fixed, 2 other segfault bugs fixed.
18 September: Dongle 0.0.12 released. Right, last go at widescreen. Probably. This dongle should do 16:9 letterbox too. The development environment guide is updated for a new mvpdevfs file. As usual the changelog is in the forum.
10 September: Dongle 0.0.11 released. Another go at widescreen, it really should work this time!

12 August: Dongle 0.0.7 now nicely detects unavailable channels and chasing playback is fixed.
6 August: New remote type supported in dongle 0.0.6
3 August: CVS updated to fix the bug where watching Live TV with the MVP could stop VDR from recording something. I don't want to guarantee this 100%, but it should work :)
25 July: Dongle 0.0.5 released. Now possible to go to standby if the server is inaccessible. New options menu where S-Video can be set, rather than editing the config manually. Now possible to set power up state.
23 July: Corrections to the development guide. Updates to client and server CVS. New dongle 0.0.4 to support NTSC and S-Video. IMPORTANT!: I don't know if NTSC detection works, as I would need a MVP from NTSC-land to test it. Be warned... If NTSC detection doesn't work and it sends a PAL signal to your NTSC TV then you decided to try it.. Don't blame me! On the other hand, if you are in NTSC land and you know your TV can take a PAL signal, or at least not blow up if it gets one, please try the latest dongle and let me know if it works. S-Video: As there is no config menu yet, just edit the config file generated by the vompserver plugin for the MVP, it's located at VDR_CONFIG_DIR/plugins/vomp-IP_ADDRESS_OF_MVP.conf .

28/29th June 2005: I cleaned up the sources and uploaded them to SourceForge CVS. I updated this web site including pointing vomp.sourceforge.net to this domain (no sense keeping two web sites maintained).
